Barcelona
The last portion of our trip took us to Barcelona, where I had a good friend, Amy, who had moved there about 6 months ago. She sold me on the city so much, that I had to visit her to see what all the fuss was about. My brother and I spent just shy of 2 weeks there in Barc, playing at the beach, hiking in the mountains, exploring the city and partying it up.
To me, Barcelona is the most livable European city I've ever been to. Small enough that you don't feel lost, affordable, international feel, they speak Spanish really slowly, lots of community events, and tons to do. I can totally understand why Amy moved there.
Ultimately, we were sad to leave. We had an evening in London before we headed back home to the Vegas airport. Sigh. Trip of a lifetime came to an end.

Watching the outdoor movie at the castle on Montjuic.

Exploring the cathedral in the mountains of Monserrat.

Waiting for the cable car to take us to Monserrat.

Barcelona cathedral. We were the only ones up there and it was so quiet and peaceful. What a way to see the city!

On my way to the beach to work on my severe case of tanorexia.

We supported the local immigrants by purchasing drinks from them at the beach.

Out tanning with Amy.

The Magic Fountains was probably my favorite part of Barcelona. So enchanting!

French bread, various cheese and Tinto de Verano, made up my European experience on this trip.

Oh Barcelona looks heavenly. Even the still of the magic fountains makes me sigh. I love that stairwell shot too. Very cool. I'm so glad that you had such a wonderful time on your trip! Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Hope coming home hasn't been too much of a depressing disappointment. ;)
AWESOME! SO cool!
