Jacob Lake and the North Rim

For Justin's birthday, we wanted to escape St. George and more importantly, escape the HEAT! It has been over 100 degrees for the past month, which is absolutely maddening. Since my little sister is working up at Jacob Lake (a cellphone dead zone) we decided to surprise her with a visit! We had so much fun exploring the area (fact: Jacob Lake is less of a lake and more of a puddle) and enjoying the cool temperatures (It hit 53 degrees when we left that night!). After dinner we drove to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon for sunset. It was Jay's first time at the Grand Canyon, and I think he found it pretty spectacular! Overall, an excellent road trip.

I freakin love my husband. He's the best.

You are a always going somewhere! Do you even need a house in St. George? :) I'm so jealous! Looks like you always have a lot of fun!

What a fun road trip! It looks like you and Justin are super happy.

P.S. I'm so happy that you got a bountiful basket. Could you believe all of those green peppers this week? I made fajitas on Saturday and I am planning to make some salsa today. Also, you can chop them up and freeze them, then just add them to whatever when you need them.
